Rathika Venkataraman, 09 October 2024

In today’s fast-paced business environment, ease of use and efficiency are essential when navigating across multiple platforms or screens. If you’re using SAP Sales & Service Cloud and want to simplify user navigation, leveraging mashup capabilities is an effective solution.

This blog post outlines a key feature introduced in the 2408 release—mashup callback operations—and how they can streamline navigation within the SAP Sales & Service Cloud ecosystem.

Mashup callback operations allow users to trigger specific screens, such as creating a contact or viewing account details, based on business needs. This feature enables admins or key users to customize navigation, enhancing the user experience by enabling shortcuts to frequently accessed screens within SAP C4C.

Let’s get started

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Administrator -> Mashup Authoring
  2. Click New -> HTML Mashup -> Type: HTML Code
  3. Supported Operations
    • Navigation: The only supported operation type is “navigation“. This lets you either view details or create new entities.

Here’s an example of a simple HTML code to open the Create Contact and Display Account Details screens:

Note:

A Tip for HTML Mashups!

Did you know? You can dynamically pass a URL from a standard or custom field, depending on the port binding, to an HTML Mashup of type URL with just a placeholder, like below:

Conclusion

With the Mashup-based navigation feature, you open essential C4C screens and streamline your operations, reduce manual effort, and improve your overall efficiency, whether it’s accessing detailed customer profiles or creating new sales opportunities.
